Firenze (Florence)

Florence is somewhere I always felt like I had to see since it is a popular study aboard place & my friends say it is there favorite city in the world. Florence is eye-capturing with its architecture and beautiful streets, however, I think I had the standard so high, that it was just another gorgeous city to me. I only had one full day here though so this could be why.

MUST DO

+ Ponte Vecchio! An old, pretty bridge filled with jewelry, gift, and leather shops. Very touristy and they sure did get me as I bought my mom a gold bracelet here. The VIEW from this bridge was my favorite part about Firenze. I could just stare at its view of the city all day.

+ Piazza Duomo. STUNNING as expected!!! We did not go inside because of time, however, if I was back here, I definitely would go in because the outside is so beautiful I can not imagine how amazing the inside is.

+ The Museums. I am not going to lie to you, I am not an art museum person. But when I was in Florence, wow, did I become an art lover. We did two museums while here. Seeing the David by Michaelangelo at Galleria dell'Accademia was of course very cool. Going to the other museum, the Uffizi Gallery, was even more fun. We did a tour (which is something else I do not usually enjoy) & I fell in love with everything about this art! It was very intriguing to me learning about Renaissance artists such as Davinci, Michaelangelo, Rafael, and so many more.

GETTING AROUND

The cobble stone streets had my heart right away because that is something I always love about European cities. I was wearing heeled over the knees, so this was not as comfortable as I hoped haha. WEAR COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES HERE. My best advice I can give to here because the cobblestone is uneven. Everything is walking distance in Florence!
